SAT extends its opening hours! On 2 October 2022, the SAT (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) issued a statement announcing that they will extend their opening hours and spaces for taxpayers.
This is due to the decrease in face-to-face appointments generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The SAT seeks to facilitate taxpayers’ compliance with their tax obligations.
In their communicate they highlight two actions:
- At the national level, taxpayer service offices will attend to legal entities on Fridays from 7 October to 30 December 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment. Procedures such as RFC registration and electronic signature (e.firma) will be available.
- “This is a strategy that brings SAT services and procedures closer to areas far from taxpayer service offices. The first stage will visit Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa and Veracruz to attend to individuals. Subsequently, in a second stage, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancún, Mérida, Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez and Mexico City will be visited (preferably to serve legal entities).
