When you are employed by a company, you should not only care about your salary. It is also important that you know the working conditions you would be agreeing to as part of your contract. In Mexico, those conditions are established in the Federal Labor Law, and they are applicable for any employee working under contract.

The Office of the Federal Attorney for Labor Defense (PROFEDET) is the institution that protects your employee benefits. There are two other institutions that also aim to regulate your employee rights:

  • Mexican Association of Human Capital Companies (AMECH)
  • International Labor Organization (ILO)
