Tips to avoid being unproductive after getting back from vacation:
There are multiple reasons why we seem to be unproductive after getting back from vacation. One of them is that the first week is normally used to put everything in order, which makes us feel like we are misusing our time.
Having a schedule or a to-do list allows for 99% of the day to be organized and for time to be effectively distributed.
- Do not feel guilty: It is normal to feel a bit worried at the beginning of your vacation. Thinking about the amount of work to be done can be overwhelming. So do not feel guilty if you use some time at the end to organize your schedule and get ready to return to work.
- Get on a sleep schedule: Try to go to bed at least one hour earlier than usual. Then, wake up half-an-hour before your normal wake-up call. That way, you will rest, while keeping your body trained. You certainly will not be late on your first day back to work!
