Conflict mediation is an alternative means of solving controversies, it is extra-judicial and its purpose is to work together to solve any conflict through peaceful means.  Mediation is broadly characterized as a voluntary, flexible and participatory process.  In this note we will point out the main characteristics of conflict mediation.

Both parties are free to choose at any time whether or not they wish to continue with the mediation process.

Flexible

All materials presented during conversations and appointments are kept confidential, both by both parties and by the mediator.

Neutral

It is a neutral process because the person in charge, in this case the mediator, has the responsibility not to favor the interests of any party.

 Economic

The mediation process must be in a maximum time of 90 days and the meetings are scheduled depending on the conflict.
