 Requirements to process the permanent residence visa

  • Original and copy of the passport, with a minimum validity of 6 months.
  • Fill out the corresponding visa application form.
  • Passport size photograph, with visible face and without glasses, in color, with white background and front.
  • Original and copy of the document proving your legal stay, such as visa or resident card.
  • Prove your financial solvency by being a pensioner or retired with the following documentation:

– Original and copy of investments or bank accounts, with an average monthly balance equivalent to 20,000 days of the general minimum wage in Mexico, during the last year.

– Original and copy of the documents that show the monthly pension income, equivalent to 500 days of general minimum wage in force in Mexico during the last 6 months.

  • Payment of cash rights of the Consular Section *, by reception, study of the visa application, and, if applicable, authorization of the visa in passport, according to the Federal Law of Rights; with the exchange rate applicable during the month.

* In case of not receiving the visa, no refund will be made for the payment. Before submitting the application, check that your documentation is complete.
