Annual tax declarations can be submitted at different times of the year. Whether you are a natural person or a legal person, your tax declaration must fulfill the requirements of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) tax regime under which you are registered.

Annual tax declarations aim to report your income, as well as your eligibility for a tax refund, to the Tax Administration Service (SAT). It is important that you submit your tax declaration in a timely fashion to avoid being sanctioned.

If you are a natural person, you must follow these steps to submit your annual tax declaration:

  1. Visit SAT’s official website.
  2. Choose the ‘’tax return’’ option and click on ‘’file your tax return’’ (according to the tax regime that corresponds).
  3. Enter your Federal Taxpayer Registry Code (RFC) and your password. 4. Fill out the form.
  4. Sign the declaration and send it.
  5. You will get an acknowledgement receipt at the end.

Submitting a tax declaration is the perfect opportunity to report tax-deductible expenses and claim a tax refund. If you do not know the tax regimen you are in, you can verify your information at the Tax Administration Service’s (SAT) online platform, whether you are a natural person or a legal person. This is all useful information for you to submit your annual tax declaration to the SAT. However, we recommend that an expert or tax-savvy person manages these sorts of procedures for you.
